FALL BALL

We are very excited to announce the very first Junior Auxiliary of Oxford Fall Ball. Our chapter has been working very hard planning and organizing a fun night for our community. Before the band begins, we will have a special recognition of all life and associate members as well as current members on stage. The Ball will have food from various local restaurants, a Wine Pull sponsored by Kiamie's Liquor, a photo booth sponsored by Megan Marascalco Photography, and beautiful flowers donated by Oxford Floral! Our band committee has worked especially hard to find the perfect band for our special night. We are all looking forward to dancing the night away with Almost Famous!!! We will have tables around the band that will be available to purchase in advance. Tables are $1,000 and include ten tickets along with special recognition of your business. Tickets will be available in advance ($75 couple and $40 single) from any chapter member or may be purchased at Peas and Carrots, Belles and Beaus, Oxford Floral, and Neilson's Children's Department. You may also purchase your tickets at the door ( $95 couple and $50 single). We have a great selection of silent auction items for our Ball as well. Elizabeth and I already have our eyes on a few items! 
The JA members are happy that because of this Ball we will have the opportunity to help so many children in our community. Hope you will come out to support us on November 15th.

Finance Chairs

There are children in Lafayette County whose families cannot afford the required school supplies.  Thanks to the Junior Auxiliary of Oxford’s Stuff the Bus program these children are provided backpacks and needed supplies at the beginning of the school year. There are girls in Lafayette County who cannot afford to attend a summer camp.  Thanks to the Junior Auxiliary of Oxford’s Camp Sunshine over eighty young ladies are able to experience a weekend at Camp Hopewell every June. There are boys in Lafayette County who would never have the opportunity to attend a sports camp.  Thanks to the Junior Auxiliary of Oxford’s Camp Bats and Balls Project over 100 boys ages 8-11 attend a daylong baseball camp with the Ole Miss Rebel baseball team every fall. There are children in Lafayette County who are in need of clothing and food and basic necessities.  Thanks to Junior Auxiliary of Oxford’s Adopt-A-Family program approximately six families have received clothing, food and other household supplies in the past year.

Junior Auxiliary of Oxford is beginning its annual fundraising campaign, and we need your support.  Through the generosity of community members, we are able to offer projects that have a positive impact on the children of the Oxford-Lafayette County community.

Junior Auxiliaries, Inc. is a national organization that was founded on the principles of helping children and making a difference in their lives.  Through eleven projects detailed on the next page, Junior Auxiliary of Oxford is able to provide charitable services that are beneficial to the general public with particular emphasis on children.  Please take time to read over the projects and determine which project you would like to financially support.  You may make a donation without specifying a project.  You will receive community recognition for your donation, but most importantly, you will change a child’s life.

The need is great.  Please consider helping us help the children of our community.  We appreciate your support of Junior Auxiliary of Oxford.  We have enclosed a patron donation form where you will see the different levels of participation.  Some levels include tickets to our upcoming Inaugural Fall Ball: Benefiting the Children of Lafayette County on November 15^th, 7:00 pm at the Lyric. There will be food from local vendors, a live band, silent auction, wine pull and photo booth.  We hope you can come!
